FAQ

Q: What is the Annual Auto Show?

A: A time-honored tradition that cannot be replaced with something like Whirly Ball.

Q: When does the Annual Auto Show occur?

A: It always occurs on a Saturday or Sunday of the Chicago Auto Show.

Q: Where do we meet before the Annual Auto Show?

A: We meet at Bill’s home to enjoy a pre-Auto Show Mexican Coke with real sugar. The address varies by year. Mexican Sprite is an acceptable alternative when Mexican Coke cannot be obtained.

Q: Has Aaron ever been sick for an Auto Show?

A: This is unlikely.

Q: Are we allowed to skip one or more car brands?

A: You would have to convince Arash to deviate from his iron-clad route. This has never happened before.

Q: Should I take a free bag and fill it with brochures?

A: This is a rookie mistake. Refuse all handouts as if they have the plague. Exceptions can be made for bags with shoulder straps.

Q: Will food be enjoyed afterward?

A: A trip to Ricobene’s for a breaded steak sandwich is traditional. Using a fork to eat the sandwich is discouraged, but not forbidden. Alternative locations, such as White Palace Grill may also be considered, even though that place is just not the same since the area was developed.

Q: Can the group wait in line for one of the ride-alongs on a test track?

A: The Autoshow is long enough, do you really want to extend it further? Nevertheless, if a short enough line is found at one of the test tracks, the ride along is not boring, and the group agrees, then the group can wait in line and go on the ride-along. This is limited to no more than one ride-along per day.
